Advanced Component Theory
Advanced Component Theory training is suitable for any role and will provide you with the knowledge, skills and competencies of the technologies, components and systems used within a modern wind turbine.
Wind turbine Advanced Component Theory is designed to provide a firm understanding of generic wind turbine systems and sub-systems to component level, including an introduction to technical documentation such as electrical schematic diagrams and hydraulic diagrams.
What we cover
- What are the key Components and Systems within a Wind Turbine
- What is the function of each component
- How do the components affect the operation of a wind turbine
- How to identify components on System Diagrams/Schematics
- How to check/measure the operational status of the components
Available classes
Advanced Component Theory is only available for businesses and organizations. All prices are without VAT/GST.
We offer Advanced Component Theory training for entire teams and as open online classes, where you can purchase an individual seat.
Would you like to learn more about the option of Advanced Component Theory training for a whole team?

Advanced Component Theory content
The program will introduce wind turbine specific examples and will encompass all relevant Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic, and Electronic systems and components (including Wind Turbine Controllers, Converters, and communication equipment)
It is delivered over 5 days with both individual and group interactive exercises with a formal assessment at the end of the class.
The scheduling of our courses takes into consideration the majority of the registered participants.
Why should you attend an Advanced Component Theory class?
Upon successful completion of this program,
participants will be able to:
- Identify system components and understand their functionality
- Understand how each component affects the turbine systems/sub systems
- Be able to interpret and navigate system diagrams/schematics (and understand the importance of this competence)
- Be able to check and measure the operating status of electrical components
We have developed the competencies of more than 8.000 people in the wind industry.
If you don’t know how the components are supposed to work in the first place, how can you determine when they misfunction?
We believe that people are the power behind wind power
Are you that power?
