Our assessment tool gives an advantage in understanding the level of the participants. This ensures that participants are attending classes and training sessions that are appropriate for their skill level, avoiding wasted time in sessions that may not be beneficial to them. And allows for more effective scheduling of daily operations.

Why assessment?

Any training need will derive from the recognition that you have a knowledge/competency gap. To close this gap you need to know where you are and where you want to be on the Competency Pathway. The assessment will help you define where on the Competency Pathway you currently are.

The Assessment will clarify your current knowledge and competency gap and enable you to make informed choices when deciding what training will be needed. 


Our Technical Competency Assessment

The assessment consists of a series of questions divided into 4 major categories with a total of 40 questions. It is conducted online and covers the following categories:

  • Electrical
  • Hydraulic
  • Mechanical
  • Controls

Based on the result of the assessment, we recommend which training programs from the Competency pathway will be the best fit for the individual as well as the team.

The assessment is divided into 3 stages:

Stage 1 Assessment, where the questions are based on the fundamentals. This is to get a baseline of the individual’s competencies. 

Stage 2 Assessment, which is a trainer-led assessment with focus on the specific turbine the technicians works in.

Stage 3 Assessment is also a trainer-led assessment with focus on Fundamentals, a specific turbine, maintenance and troubleshooting.
