Understanding the components and systems inside a wind turbine is essential for anyone working in the Wind Energy Industry. The Advanced Component Theory training gives you a complete overview of all key mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic systems – from controllers and converters to communication and power systems – and explains how each element affects overall turbine performance and reliability.

Over five intensive days, your people will learn to identify components on system diagrams, interpret schematics, and assess the operational status of critical systems.

Whether your people are new to the industry or part of an experienced maintenance team, this course provides the foundational knowledge needed to diagnose issues, support safe maintenance, and maximize turbine uptime.

Advanced Component Theory content

The program will introduce wind turbine specific examples and will encompass all relevant Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic, and Electronic systems and components (including Wind Turbine Controllers, Converters, and communication equipment)

It is delivered over 5 days with both individual and group interactive exercises with a formal assessment at the end of the class.

The scheduling of our courses takes into consideration the majority of the registered participants.
