Shawn John Lamb, instructor responsible for GE courses, says:

I joined the wind industry in 2008 as Lead Wind Instructor at GE’s Energy Learning Center in Niskayuna, NY. In 2009 I became the Field Service Training Manager for Nordex USA and developed the training programs for field commissioners and O&M service technicians. I was training the technicians directly at the Nordex Academy in Germany, the Arkansas production facility, and at various wind farms in the US. In 2010, I started the new Wind Energy Technology program at Ecotech Institute in Denver, CO. This program has since graduated over 150 wind students who have been hired with companies such as Nextera, Invenergy, DeWind, Gamesa, Nordex, EDF, Siemens, Vestas, and GE. In September 2014 I partnered with Carsten Anderson and the Danish Wind Power Academy to start the Danish Wind Power Academy Americas (DWPAA) with my self as the CEO of US Operations, and in charge of developing this GE ESS training program to be conducted world wide in the future
